Prague is the 15th largest city in the whole of the European Union, and it is also the capital of The Republic of Czechoslovakia. The beautiful city is located beside the Vltava River in the centre of Bohemia, which is the largest region of the country. Prague is famous for the historical events that took place in it, and the markings that history and the ancient civilizations has left in it. The Czech government has discouraged the harming of any historical landmarks and thus this led to the well-preserved ancient beauty of Prague that it is the most admired for.

There are many wonderful attractions in Prague that thousands of tourists come to visit every day. The natural scenery of Prague and the ancient architecture is such that it attracts the attention of many producers who have used the sceneries of Prague as a background for their movies and music clips. Some notable movies that have taken place completely or partially in the city Prague are Van Helsing, Casino Royale, The Three Musketeers, Wanted and many more.

The 2004 American Horror film Van Helsing has found the perfect set for it in Prague. The producers used seven different locations of Prague to shoot the film, which went ahead to become the biggest blockbuster of 2004. The movie had clips shot in the St. Nicholas Cathedral, Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, etc.

Another popular movie that had been shot in Prague is Casino Royale. Casino Royale is the 21st film of the James Bond film series, and most of the sets of this film had been shot in the Czech Republic at various spots, like the famous Barrandov Studios of Prague, on the banks of Vltava River, Strahov Monastery, etc.  

As you might have seen from the movies, Prague has a great variety of amazing sceneries both natural and manmade. The roads of Prague are cobbled and carved, and one can just imagine how lovely it would be to set out on a bike tour of the city streets and watch all the beautiful historical establishments pass by.
