April is the point of mid-spring in the Czech Republic. To be precise, the weather you’ll find in April will be rather adventurous. Starting from rain, sleet, hail, snow, wind or sun, April in the Czech Republic will leave nothing left to the imagination for you. Think of it as the perfect time to address that wild side inside you and battle the weather to tour one of the hottest tourism spots in the world- with less crowd too!

One of the main reasons you would want to go to the Czech Republic during April is to attend the Easter Monday festivities. No place in this country will be left unadorned by the traditions of Easter! To get a better taste of these traditions, make sure to visit the small villages and towns to get a more authentic flavor of the still practiced traditions of Easter. However, if you find yourself in Prague during this time, fear not; Prague still hosts some of the largest Easter markets in the entire Czech Republic. So take out your snow boots and rain jacket and ready to celebrate Easter in the authentic Czech manner!

In more practical terms, April is the time to visit the Czech republic of you are not a fan of big crowds or jostling with jolly tourists. The tourist density is lower due to the obvious reasons of weather. If you do not happen to be comfortable traveling in unpredictable weather, originate from extremely warm countries and have no experience with the European cold or are traveling with little ones, it may be advisable to plan a trip later on. However, the Czech Republic is still somewhat a popular place to visit during the Easter holidays so be sure to book your hotels in advance.

However, there are still many reasons why you would want to visit the Czech Republic during April. Apart from the Easter holidays, there is another wonderful aspect of mid-spring. Due to the unpredictable weather, you can see the many beautiful aspects of the country and how it looks during different types of weather, i.e. when it rain, snows, or when it is windy.

So take out your camera and snap away! And remember to pull your hood up tight! April in the Czech Republic is as beautiful as any other time of the year, but with the added benefit of Easter Monday, your next spring vacation might be one of the very best yet!
