May is one of the best times in the year to visit Prague, Czech Republic, as there are few tourists and the weather is mild. The weather in Prague is generally chilly, which is why the city sees the largest tourist influx during the summer.

The month of May sees the largest amount of rainfall In Prague, which is why carrying an umbrella or a raincoat would be advisable if anyone plans on going on a walking tour in Prague, as there is at least 77 mm of rainfall. That said, if you can handle some rainfall, then you will be able to see enjoy a proper tour in Prague without a lot of hassle, as the tourists for the summer are yet to arrive.

And the best part of it all, you can easily find good hotels at reasonable prices, as the prices only go up during the touristic season. That said, it is still a good idea to book the rooms at least a week or 2 before your trip. Despite the fact that the weather gets warmer in May, as it is close to the summer season, do not underestimate it, as the weather is still significantly cold, so be sure to pack warmer clothes.

 

Also, don’t think that all the fun events only happen during the summer, as Prague hosts some of the coolest and the most celebrated events during May, as such as the Czech Beer Festival, the Prague Marathon, the Prague Food festival, and the Prague Spring International Music Festival, which continues all the way till June. And so, May is one of the bets times of the year to visit Prague, as you will not have to push through the throng of the summer tourists and be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Prague in peace.
